They needed help, and the Proxies answered the call. This was the "Bangboo Party" event, which ran from July 15 to August 5, 2024. Even in 2026, the memory of that whimsical adventure still brings a smile to many players' faces.
Event Duration and Eligibility
The event was available from 2024/07/15 10:00:00 to 2024/08/05 03:59:59 (server time). To join, Proxies needed to reach Inter-Knot Lv. 30 and complete Main Story Chapter 2 Interlude - Intermission. Once eligible, the first mission appeared in the Random Play store. After a brief combat encounter and following Fairy's navigation to find a VCR, the Proxy met Amillion, the commissioner. The little Bangboo asked for help finding a friend at the Brant Street construction site.
Teleporting to Officer Mewmew, the Proxy took a lift to the top of the scaffolding. There, Luckyboo waited. After a short conversation, the Proxy brought Luckyboo back to Amillion in the Parking Lot behind the Random Play store. This unlocked the commission [Event] Bangboo Party - Sixth Street. Tracking it led to the Gadget Store.
Ambush Training and Celebration Photos
As the story progressed, two side activities became available: Ambush Training and Celebration Photos. In the first Ambush Training, the correct answer was 8. For the Celebration Photo, players had to follow a specific angle to fulfill all requirements. These mini-challenges added a layer of fun to the event.
Phase 2: Sharkboo and the Metro
After completing the previous mission, Amillion gave another combat commission. This time, the Proxy fought Ethereal mobs and found a Bangboo called Look Away in the Abandoned Metro with Fairy's help. After that, the group requested another Bangboo in Lumina Square. If it was midnight, the Proxy had to sleep first to change the time to morning. Teleporting to the Coffee Shop and going up the side stairs to the second floor revealed Sharkboo (also called Mind Your Own) gazing at the sea.
Bringing Sharkboo back to the Parking Lot unlocked another [Event] Bangboo Party commission. The second Ambush Training had the correct answer 16. The Celebration Photo required a specific angle again.
Phase 3: Chasing the Golden Bangboo
In the third part of the event mission, the Proxy talked to Fairy, who helped pinpoint the location of the Golden Bangboo (or at least coordinates of an area rich in precious metals). This led to a combat mission where the Proxy had to activate an analysis device and push enemies out of the AoE area to speed up collection. Once done, the group in the Parking Lot asked for yet another Bangboo. This time, teleporting to the Pedestrian Area in Lumina Square, the Proxy looked right and found a Bangboo hidden behind the parking lot sign.
The third Ambush Training also had the answer 16. Another Celebration Photo followed.
Phase 4: The Finale
In the fourth part, Belle messaged the Proxy about Eous. Talking to the Bangboo group gave the next combat mission. This mission required cornering the Golden Bangboo by planning movements to make it move to the corner of the road. A small battle with mobs at the end tested the Proxy's skills. For the last mission, Belle messaged again about Eous. The Proxy had to find it near the Gadget Store to get the final event mission. This challenge had multiple levels with increasing difficulty.
